Phyllis Ma is an artist based in Switzerland, focused on still life photography.
Her ongoing series, Mushrooms & Friends, features foraged and cultivated fungi, often in arrangements with flowers, food and animals. Beyond photography, Phyllis often collaborates with mycologists, cultivators and foragers to identify and better understand the fungi she encounters.
Photos from the Mushrooms & Friends series have been exhibited in the US, the UK, Germany and Switzerland. The series has also been published in National Geographic, The New Yorker, The Guardian, and other publications.
